Fees

Our mission is to provide compassionate services to our fellow New Mexicans at reasonable rates. In furtherance of that goal we provide flat fee prices for simple probates and in some cases a contingency fee option for contested probates.

Contingency Fees

A contingency fee is paid out of the settlement, judgment, or verdict following a disputed probate. For example, if you are entitled to all the property of an estate under the terms of a will, but another heir contests the will, and you do not have the money to pay for our services, NM Probate Lawyers may be willing to defend you on a contingency fee basis. If the case settles out of court, the contingency fee and expenses will be paid out of the settlement proceeds and a net check will be issued to you at the end of the case. If the case goes to trial and the jury determines that you are entitled to the property of the estate, the attorney’s fee will be deducted from the amount you are entitled to at the close of the estate. Talk to us about whether you qualify for representation on a contingent basis.

Flat Fees

We offer flat rates to help you with your budget and anticipate costs. Ask about flat rates for probating wills, intestate probates and small estate affidavits.
